We also know from the growth at Pallara State School that a future high school will be required in the area to relieve the expected enrolment growth. That’s why I fought for and successfully secured a high school evaluation for Pallara under the former Miles Labor Government.
I am pleased to announce that after our successful community campaign, the Department of Education has informed me that they are undertaking a land scan within the broader area to identify potential sites for a future high school. While this process is being conducted under commercial confidentiality, I strongly believe local families must be heard and that the LNP government should release these findings to ensure transparency.
A secondary school for the area is in the department’s new schools’ pipeline for consideration to open between 2030 and 2035. With less than 5 years until expected need and continued growth in our area, the LNP state government must get the project underway sooner rather than later.
Our community deserves to be heard and I need your support. Please signing my petition below calling on the Crisafulli LNP Government to identify and secure land for a future high school in our area.
